GOVERNANCE PROGRAMMES

GOVERNANCE PROGRAMMES

One of the reasons Nigeria has not advanced forward as desired is that governance, how Nigerian organizations are led and managed, has not been proper. Governance is simply the process by which organization are led and managed. Therefore this drag must be addressed in a formal knowledge impartation and acquisition programme of courses.

Courses in Governance are designed to produce functionaries who will infuse proper governance (good and strong governance) in our societal endeavors. Participants will be exposed to basic knowledge in governance, skills to lead and manage organizations of different and divergent make-up. Participant will also be exposed to application of proper governance in Nigeria in all its ramifications. Governance programmes are designed to train and develop high caliber functionaries to drive governance in the public segments of the Nigerian society as well as political, business enterprise and civil society segment with a horizon covering 2020-2100. To this end, future Presidents, Governors, Ministers, Commissioners, Strategic Judicial Officers and members of Parliaments (National and State Assemblies) will be formally exposed to the fundamentals as well as skills required to lead and manage the Nigerian society as it is and in the long run. Also executive participants in governance such as Directors and Permanent Secretaries will be exposed to governance issues that are both Nigeria centric and have global implication for Nigeria.

For purposes of synergy, key functionaries in the private sectors (Political, Business and Civil societies) will be similarly imparted with proper governance knowledge, skills, competences and capabilities.
